The National Science Foundation is developing AI tools in order to establish a Ministry of Truth; not to protect the U.S. public from “foreign interference.”
This is super creepy, but not surprising. I have recently read where the EU and UK have each separately started to pass laws to combat "wrongthink," I mean, "mis/disinformation, online. They are working on shutting down "wrongthink" under penalty of fines and possible incarceration. Obviously, in the US, this flies directly in the face of the US Constitution, but so did almost every Covid countermeasure. When they want to break the law, they will just declare an "emergency."
