The Violent 'Insurrections' the Media Forgot

When the American right riots, it's an "insurrection" and the FBI hunts down protesters years later. When the left riots, there are never serious consequences.

There is a dead serious effort to stop Americans from protesting about elections or challenging elections.

This week, the harshest sentence was handed down to a January 6th protester, Enrique Tarrio, a Proud Boy leader and former FBI informant.

Tarrio was handed a severe 22-year prison sentence following his conviction for quote, seditious conspiracy, unquote, related to his involvement in the January 6th Capitol protests.

This sentence stands as the lengthiest prison term delivered among the January 6th defendants so far, despite the fact that Tarrio never entered the U.S. Capitol.

Nobody openly carried firearms at the riot.

None of the rioters killed anyone.

Only one rioter was actually killed.

That was a Trump supporter named Ashli Babbitt.

The Capitol Police Officer Michael Byrd, who shot her point-blank while self-described Antifa revolutionary John Sullivan conveniently filmed it close-up, he wasn't even charged and in fact has been given a promotion.

During the sentencing, the prosecutor explained what the trial was really all about.

Not justice in Tarrio's case, but sending a message to Americans about election protesting.

This is what the prosecutor Connor Mulrow emphasized, quote, This was a calculated act of terrorism, unquote.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly concurred with prosecutors in categorizing Tarrio's actions as terrorism and decided to include terrorism sentencing enhancements.

Now, over 1,300 individuals have been arrested in connection with the J6 Capitol riots so far, most facing charges related to trespassing.

Even two years after the protests, the FBI continues to hunt down individuals involved in the Capitol trespassing incidents, subjecting them to lengthy prison sentences.

Now just this week another J6 defendant was apprehended and one brave soul confronted the Federal Bureau of Instigation for the daytime arrest of Nathan Hughes over the 2021 riot.

So the FBI is treating this riot, which again did not kill anyone except one Trump protester, as an existential threat to the Republic.

Talk about overreaction.

Despite the absence of any means to overthrow the government, let alone hold power in the face of the strongest military in the world, again with no firearms or advanced military weaponry, the January 6th riots have been rebranded as an insurrection, this being defined as a violent uprising against government authority.

But again, under this redefinition, the left could be charged for numerous insurrections throughout the last 20 years, including the J-20 riots at the Capitol during Trump's inauguration.

Here's a writing during Trump's inauguration in 2017.

Code Pink and Antifa rioters openly stated their goal was to, quote, shut the inauguration down, unquote.

They destroyed buildings, overturned and set fire to cars, went on a violent rampage that terrorized the nation's capital.

“Burning cars and smashed windows, a small group of protesters dressed in black, their faces covered, armed with hammers and bricks.

Facing off with thousands of officers on site, many in riot gear, confronting them with flashbang grenades and pepper spray.

All of a sudden, police officers started to spray pepper spray and they got our audio technician.

They're gonna see us running because they're gonna throw more flashbangs.

The chaotic scene just blocks outside the security area of the inauguration and parade route.

I personally have anti-establishment slants but I don't think that this is anything that I want to be a part of.

This checkpoint is closed!

Before the swearing-in ceremony even began, protesters tried to block checkpoint entrances.

During President Trump's speech, several demonstrators were escorted out of the area.

Several officers injured during the protest today and more than 100 people arrested.”

Not a single charge about disrupting an official proceeding.

None.

In fact, prosecutors dropped nearly all the charges against the rioters.

And one of these rioters was an Antifa radical named Alexander .

He literally said, ‘I am Antifa.’

Remember, FBI Director Chris Wray dismissed the idea that this violent radical revolutionary group actually exists.

Contompasis is apparently a journalist, according to The Intercept.

He went on to stab a Trump supporter in Albany in 2021.

The media and the Injustice Department don't care.

Then there were the riots in May 2020 at the White House.

BLM and Antifa rioters laid siege to the presidential office, tearing down barricades, injuring 60 Secret Service agents and around 90 police officers.

The riots actually forced Donald Trump to go into a nuclear-proof bunker.

Again, not a peep about an insurrection for this violent and destructive uprising against the President of the United States.

In 2020, Antifa radicals and BLM protesters backed a secessionist movement, literally called the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest.

Their demands?

Cut Seattle's $409 million police budget by 50%, shift funding to community programs and services in historically black communities, and ensure that protesters would not be charged with crimes.

You can't make this stuff up.

Now, CHOP for a time was the focus of national attention during its existence, but there were multiple shootings during this secessionist attempt in the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ.

In the early morning of June 29, a fourth shooting had left a 16-year-old boy dead and a 14-year-old boy in critical condition with gunshot wounds.

This was already more deadly than the January 6 riots.

Just imagine if there was a right-wing secessionist movement.

The media hysteria would be palpable.

The violent mob also prevented police from rescuing victims.

A shooting in a park in the city's protest zone which left a 19-year-old man dead and another person critically injured, the left-wing Guardian reported at the time.

According to a police blog, officers responding to the shooting said they were met by a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims.

Video released by police appeared to show officers arriving at the protest zone saying they wanted to get to the victim and entering as people yelled that the victim was already gone.

Police mostly retreated from the zone after clashes with protesters, KIRO-TV reported.

No arrests were made.
