Russell Brand Makes Bill Maher Squirm with 'Truth Bombs' on Big Pharma's Plan to Keep Americans in Perpetual Crisis
"If they inconvenience you, I'll stop saying them," he said.
Russell Brand, comedian and podcaster, appeared on "Real Time" with Bill Maher and dropped a few 'truth bombs' that even made the politically incorrect host squirm.
"So may I say something?" Brand asked.
"Please, please," Maher urged.
"If they inconvenience you, I'll stop saying them," he said.
"The pandemic created at least 40 new Big Pharma billionaires," he began. "Pharmaceutical corporations like Moderna and Pfizer made a thousand dollars of profit every second from the Covid 19 vaccine. More than two-thirds of Congress received campaign funding from pharmaceutical companies in the 2020 election. Pfizer Chairman Albert Bourla told Time magazine in July 2020 that this company was developing a Covid vaccine for the good of humanity, not for money. And of course, Pfizer made a hundred billion dollars in profit in 2022."
"And may I just mention finally, and these are, this is also a fact that you, the American public, funded the development of that," he continued as Maher tried to move on. "The German fund public funded the BioNTech vaccine when it came to the profits. They took the profits when it came to the funding. You paid for the funding."
"Okay," Maher said. "But I will just add one thing. It is possible that these are greedy capitalists who made a lot of money. And also there are a lot of people who did need the vaccine. There are a lot people who did need the vaccine. I didn't, never wanted to be told I was one of them who had to take it. But there are lots of people who needed that vaccine and would be dead without it. That's that is true too.”
"All I'm querying is this," Brand replied. "Is if you have an economic system in which pharmaceutical companies benefit hugely from medical emergencies, where a military industrial complex benefits from war, where an energy companies benefit from energy crisis, you are going to generate states of perpetual crisis."
"For the interest of the ordinary people separate from the interest of the elites," he added.
Brand had recently made a similar point on the Joe Rogan Show. Rogan appeared a lot more receptive to Brand's point.
"How can you have energy companies that profit when there's an energy crisis, military industrial complex that profits when there's a war, pharmaceutical companies that profit when there's a pandemic... they are creating the necessity for ongoing crisis," he argued.
"Yes," Rogan commented.
"If the elites in a society benefit from situations that are detrimental to everybody else, that's what reality's going to become," Brand continued.
"Exactly," Rogan remarked.
"It has become," Brand added.
"That's such an important point," Rogan said.
It is also important to not lose sight of the government's role in abetting these states of perpetual crisis. When the state is captured by elites who then put it into the service of their own agenda, and not that of the people's, there may arise revolutionary conditions to fundamentally transform the social-economic order.
However, the underlying cause of the revolutionary conditions may be that the state had grown too powerful to begin with by straying away from the constitutional order of federalism, limited government, and individual rights.
Thus, corruption of the government is the root problem, and not the free market system, per se; indeed, socialist systems tend to be even more corrupted, and wealth disparity even more exacerbated.
Russell Brand's point is an outstanding one. But we must be sure to fully explore potential solutions to the problem. True capitalists and socialists can agree that corporatism is the real danger and act together to put a stop to it before it is too late.
Brand is quite right in his assertions but not emphatic enough because the circle of nefarious actors is even larger than he describes; as Dr David Martin has recently revealed in his latest video, there has been a criminal racket, a criminal conspiracy since the 1980s; what Martin exposes is the "lab leak" theories being disseminated with the express purpose of hiding the ongoing evil intentions of these same actors; Martin offers compelling and irrefutable evidence that a respiratory pathogen was deliberately engineered and designed for RELEASE in the labs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill;with some assistance from Wuhan an infectious clone (synthetic) was developed (WIV1-COV) and the pathogen could infect humans; this was a US based experiment and undoubtedly gain of function and illegal and led to the eventual transfer of the work to China to keep it ongoing; David Martin provides "published admissions" and widely available documentation that have been known for years by politicians and government alike but ignored, as it continues to be in the latest Congressional hearings; as Brand correctly pointed out there are too many who have gained much at taxpayer expense for there to be an admission of responsibility at this stage of the game;BTW Dr Martin has NEVER had to rertract any evidence he has ever put forth! ( See, in particular, the article, "Sars-like WIV1-cov poised for human emergence." from Sept.2015!)
The "truth bomb" that well-heeled champagne socialist pal Russell dropped is somewhat off target.
Yes, Big Pharma made a killing (in more ways than one) from the bioweapons masquerading as vaccines which they supplied under contract to the US Department of Defence.
But the buck for the domestic and global carnage caused by the COVID frankenjabs stops with the US administration, which sprayed helicopter money in all directions as part of what Dr David Marten rightly calls a criminal conspiracy and ponzi scheme of unprecedented proportions.
The well-intentioned but somewhat naive Russell needs to dig into the good doctor's meticulous investigative work - as well as that of Sasha Latypova and Katherine Watts - to get a better handle on the principal actors in the Great Covid Con.
