Drug advertising is very annoying

How about people pay for the drugs they want out of their own pocket. No gov subsidies, just pay-to-play. The market for prescription drugs would evaporate.

How about all drugs that are at least as safe as Tylenol are made OTC. And at the same time we should shorten drug patents to 4 years. Both of these should reduce drug prices.

This move would have a huge impact on legacy media channels, and even other platforms like YouTube and other social media. I work in advertising technology, and for some outlets, pharma ad spending accounts for 70% of all advertising revenues.

Most people think ad spending is used to drive demand for pharma drugs. It's not. It's primarily used as leverage over media companies to prevent them from publishing negative narratives.

Ban all pharma advertising now!

Bribing for positive coverage. Is bribing not illegal? Open secrets.

Hilarious. An article about stopping drug ads on TV and in the media… sponsored by a drug ad. Big pharma definitely needs to be reined in. They have ridiculous power and are profit hungry to an extreme. But don’t be all stop big pharma, brought to you by an ad for something called a Contagion Control Kit. Don’t let fear mongering drive your medical care. There are stockpiles of antibiotics and other drugs if they should become necessary on a very large scale.

So, definitely great to reduce the reach of big pharma. Long time coming. But no to conspiracy theorists who try to practice medicine. Let doctors be doctors.

The most destructive Pharma products have been opiates, an extension of the heroin trade. America is being assaulted by the same people who ran the Opium Wars in the 19th Century. The elephant in the room is that these companies are largely Jewish owned such as Teva and Purdue.

The family of David Sassoon controlled the opium trade in the 19th century out Baghdad, Bombay and Hong Kong. They founded the Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation aka HSBC. Read " Global Merchants" by Prof Joseph Sassoon. In 1820 China was the biggest economy in the world until the Sassoon family showed up and destroyed them with opiates. The is what is happening in the USA right now, over 100k Americans die from opiates per year, as much as two Vietnam Wars worth of casualties per year on American soil. That money funds the banks and media they own. All wars are fought to protect that trade. Biggest lobbyist for the Pharma trade is Bernie Sanders.

We can’t buy any of the drugs these companies advertise on TV without a prescription. It’s big pharma way of supporting a liberal agenda.

Do you remember when cigarettes were on tv all the time and booze was on the tv every commercial break! I’m glad that got rid of those commercials, but tv cried about then and there going the bitch about it again! Good get this crap off my tv!

It's primarily broadcast television, which is the typical choice for low IQ viewers or people who cant afford streaming and cable.

They target these demos on purpose for obvious reasons.

It’s pretty ironic that an article supporting an advertising ban concludes with an ad for the overpriced Wellness Company.
