Gavin Newsom Will Spend $50 Million to 'Trump-Proof' the State as California Burns

Gov. Gavin Newsom has reportedly reached a deal with the Democrats in control of the state legislature to “Trump-proof” the state of California from attempts to mass deport illegal aliens from the United States.

This comes amidst wildfires that have ravaged the Los Angeles area. The devastating fires have taken the lives of dozens of Californians and wrought over $150 billion in damage.

This blazes have rampaged out-of-control in part due to the mismanagement of water resources, misplacing identity politics above competence, and Newsom slashing over $100 million in wildfire prevention and response from the last state budget.

Governor Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass are facing backlash for slashing the critical funding to wildfire resilience programs, as well as making cuts to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), despite repeated warnings from fire officials, insurance companies, and experts about the risk to California residents.
