Nearly a decade after the Trump-Russia investigation engulfed Washington, newly declassified FBI records are raising fresh questions about one of the most consequential prosecutions to emerge from the entire affair.

The Justice Department is escalating a criminal investigation into the origins and conduct of the Trump-Russia probe, with prosecutors now issuing subpoenas compelling former government officials to testify before a federal grand jury in Florida.
