Donald Trump recently launched into fresh attacks on Ron DeSantis, claiming that the Florida Governor 'didn't do a great job' on crime and the Covid pandemic.

You forgot DeSantis gave all FL hospitals immunity for their COVID treatments. Floridians that had loved one die in the hospital because they were denied life saving drugs can't sue. BTW I voted for DeSantis for my governor but won't vote for him as president. Look at his voting record as a FL Congressman.
You left out where Desantis had a 100 year old vet take the vaccine on tv like the liberals and he died 2 weeks later. You also left out that Desantis caved under pressure of MSM and left and made young people leave the hot airy beaches and closed them. While beaches here in Texas stayed Open. I was in West Palm Beach during COVID. No beaches for 4th of July and we were masked. DeSantis also gave FL hospitals immunity for their COVID treatments. Floridians that had loved ones die in the hospital because they refused to give them live saving drugs can't sue. It was the patriots in Florida that put pressure on DeSantis and got things changed. Mothers were constantly emailing and ringing his phone off the hook about policies in the schools. Mrs. DeSantis started Mamas for DeSantis after they saw they could coral Florida female patriots for their own base. West Palm Beach has the largest CLUB 45....now CLUB 47...in America. It is a pro-Trump group and they helped put DeSantis on the map after Trump supported him. It is a huge group of patriots in Florida. They changed Florida really.
Orange Man's base is extremely disappointed that he pushed for lockdowns and COVID vaccines - it's hurt his support with them quite substantially, although they continue to unenthusiastically support him compared to alternatives. Meatball did "better" comparatively with his COVID response, although he has his own issues.
I don’t live in FL, but if I voted for his re-election as Governor only to have him start a nationwide ‘book tour’ (as if people didn’t see what it really was), I’d be pi$$ed. Then he behind the scenes gets Legislation changed so he can legally run for President. I admire him as a Governor, but not as a presidential candidate. 2028 is his time. 2024 is Trump’s!!

Trump did not fire Fauci, he pushed the injections through the FDA and until this day has not relented on how fabulous the death shot is. Why can't people come to terms with this? If people refuse to be honest, we aren't getting anywhere.
DeSantis did not follow the Constitution either. Why, when he has shown that he will throw out the rule of law, is anyone thinking of voting for him?
This is not the best Americans can do. We should stay away from any person who has shown us they will violate the rights of the people (both men). If we don't then we will get more of the same.
We expect too little of our politicians and ask too little of ourselves. Instead, we need to change ourselves to not accept bad people (lesser of two evils or not). Keep doing the same thing, you get the same result. We need to have courage and stand up to wrong doing. It's more important for the people to be courageous, strong and intelligent. That's how things will be corrected and justice returned. A republic, if you can keep it!

I would also be pissed, especially if I donated to his campaign. He said, early on, that if reelected he would finish his term.
As to the legislation (not sure it's passed yet), it has been changed before to allow elected officials to run while in office. Nothing new.

Adjusting for age, Florida ranked 31st in COVID deaths, hence Trump's praise of DeSantis: "Great job, Ron!"
By citing total COVID deaths (FL is 3rd most populous state) rather than per-capita or age-adjusted data, Trump is either lying or stupid.
