We knew it from the very start. When the headline broke that a “van” had rammed into a Pride parade in Berlin, killing one and injuring twenty-nine others, it fit a familiar tactic abused by the usual suspects.

The usual suspects being the legacy media. Who did you think I was talking about?

That tactic, of course, is the lie of omission. And the news-consuming public, particularly on reasonably open social media platforms like X, is onto that tactic like a wild hog on a truffle patch.

Consistent with the media’s blatant abuse of “lies of omission” in the headline, the offender in the case of a “Pride” parade attack in Berlin on Saturday fits the profile we are accustomed to seeing—only hours, and sometimes days, later.
