The disclosures arrived as Fauci prepared to appear before Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, where the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director faced renewed questioning about gain-of-function research, the government’s handling of the pandemic, and his previous congressional testimony.

In a video announcing the release, Gabbard said the documents detail Fauci’s alleged role in “providing millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute”—research she said is now “widely viewed as the source of the unintentional lab leak that sparked the pandemic.”

The newly released files focus on Fauci’s congressional testimony in 2024.

According to Gabbard, the records contradict Fauci’s sworn statement that he had not communicated with U.S. intelligence agencies—including the FBI, CIA, Defense Intelligence Agency, or the Office of the Director of National Intelligence—about viral research connected to COVID-19.

When asked by lawmakers whether he had spoken with those agencies regarding coronavirus research before, during, or after the pandemic, Fauci responded:

“Not to my knowledge about COVID.”

Gabbard contends the newly released documents tell a different story.

The document release immediately drew praise from one of Fauci’s most persistent critics on Capitol Hill.

“Thank you to Tulsi Gabbard for her leadership and service in pursuing the truth, even when it wasn’t politically convenient,” Rand Paul wrote on X.

Paul has spent years arguing that Fauci knowingly misled Congress regarding National Institutes of Health funding that ultimately flowed through EcoHealth Alliance to coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Fauci has consistently denied lying to Congress and has maintained that the NIH did not fund gain-of-function research in Wuhan as defined under applicable federal policies.

Paul also questioned whether former President Joe Biden’s sweeping preemptive pardon of Fauci should survive legal scrutiny.

“He not only destroyed records, but he would send emails to others and say when you read this destroy it,” Paul told The National News Desk. “So, he’s guilty of multiple crimes and someone needs to have the guts to indict him. He needs to be investigated.”

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) similarly argued that Biden’s pardon may not foreclose every possible avenue for legal accountability.

“The presidential pardon doesn’t impact state charges so there still may be some possibilities there,” Johnson told The National News Desk. “I think where there’s fraud involved, I’m not sure where the statute of limitations apply to all of his potential crimes.”

The latest disclosures were part of a broader effort by Gabbard to declassify intelligence records before departing the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Supporters say the releases advance long-overdue transparency surrounding one of the most consequential public health crises in modern history. Critics have argued that intelligence and scientific assessments should not be selectively disclosed or interpreted outside their broader context.

Fauci has not publicly responded to Gabbard’s latest document release.

He has consistently denied allegations that he concealed the origins of COVID-19, lied under oath, or knowingly funded dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Throughout multiple congressional appearances, Fauci has maintained that his actions were guided by the scientific evidence available at the time and that accusations against him are politically motivated.

Even so, the serious nature of Gabbard’s disclosures are difficult to ignore.

We had fireworks on Capitol Hill when Anthony Fauci testified before the Senate and he pled the 5th 111 times and he was roundly scolded by the senators that were in attendance.

And some of the highlights of this are quite eye-opening because they really told Fauci off and spoke for millions of Americans who want justice over the COVID pandemic response.

Dr. Anthony Fauci’s words, well, they were quite impactful during the entire time. But as we saw with recently released documents that are being referred to as a Fauci diary, the nation’s top COVID doctor was saying things in private that did not match what he was telling the public. This goes towards all sorts of controversial subjects that we don’t need to delve into too far here.

I’m sure people who are watching me are pretty much on the same page that the entire response was botched and faith in science and medical authority was severely undermined. That is something that Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri pointed out in a scathing diatribe. Let’s take a look.

“With your time, you could sit for InStyle magazine, but you can’t answer questions for the American people. You could sit for InStyle magazine, but you’re here taking the Fifth. You could sit for InStyle magazine and get a million bucks in cash awards, but now the cat’s got your tongue. I bet he does.

“I’ll tell you what. Here’s my conclusion from all of this. This was really all about you the whole time. Somewhere along the way, you lost your way. You may have been a good public servant at one time, I don’t know. But I can tell you from reading your emails now, from looking at what you did and how you used your employees, somewhere along the line it became all about you. Your image, your self-aggrandizement, your self-promotion, your personal enrichment. That’s what all this has been about.

“One thing I learned from your email, doctor, is you hate President Trump. You absolutely hate him. It’s all over your emails. It is dripping from every page. You’re entitled to your political views, but what you’re not entitled to do is use your office to punish people who disagree with you politically or to interfere with scientific inquiry because you don’t like the people asking the questions. And that’s exactly what you did.”

“With your time, you could sit for InStyle magazine, but you can’t answer questions for the American people. You could sit for InStyle magazine, but you’re here taking the Fifth. You could sit for InStyle magazine and get a million bucks in cash awards. But now the cat’s got your tongue. I bet he does.

You called yourself the most famous scientist in the world. You’ve done more to harm science than anybody in my lifetime, and I hope you’ll go home and write that in your diary.”

“Thank you, Mr. Chairman.”

Now, even more colorful, and laden with some profanity, was the rant of Senator Bernie Moreno from Ohio. He really had the “how dare you” vibe going with this, and it is something that I believe a lot of Americans want to tell Fauci. Where does he get off? Well, let’s listen to Senator Moreno.

“Those policies were put in place because you had moronic politicians that listened to the words of a megalomaniac who was more interested in meeting a Kardashian than the suffering of the American people.”

“Your advice to communities like that, to idiotic politicians who enforced those rules, arrested that mom for watching a football game with her own family outside.

“When that story broke, I said to myself, I cannot stand idly on the side and watch this happen. It was about six years ago today that I decided I’m going to give up my businesses, sell them all, run for office, run for the United States Senate.

“Here I am sitting in front of you six years later saying, who the fuck do you think you were for doing that? It is a total disgrace what you did to this country. And if my Democrat colleagues are standing there defending you, I hope the voters of the United States of America watch the clips of every one of you doting on a guy who was more interested in being a celebrity than saving American people.”

The narrator continued:

Another outburst didn’t come from a Republican senator during this theatrical display, but from one of Fauci’s lawyers. Dr. Rand Paul, the senator from Kentucky, had the lawyer removed by security, and this exchange is definitely worth watching.

The questioning began with the statement, “The benefits of gain-of-function research outweigh the risks.”

Fauci replied, “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.”

The chairman responded, “The chairman has denied your assertion of privilege and directed you to answer, but you nonetheless refuse and stand on privilege despite the existence of the pardon. The committee will have to consider after this hearing what appropriate action should be taken against you for failing to testify after being directed to do so.”

“The committee will have to consider, after this hearing, what appropriate action should be taken against you for the failure to testify after being directed to do so. It’s against the law to obstruct an investigation of Congress. There will be repercussions to your refusal to testify today.”

Then the hearing turned chaotic.

“Senator Peters.”

“You’re not recognized.”

“You’re not recognized.”

“If you are unruly, you will be removed from the proceeding.”

“You are not recognized.”

“And you are not recognized, sir.”

“Sir, you are not recognized.”

“You are not recognized.”

“Security. We’ll hold off. But you will respect these proceedings. You were told not to sit at the table. You insist on sitting at the table, and we told you that you would not be recognized. You are not invited here for testimony, sir. You are being disruptive.”

“Would you behave this way in a courtroom?”

“No, because the judge would put you in jail. I can’t do that today, but I can have you escorted from the premises. So I would say, sir, sit quietly and don’t say another word. I said sit quietly. You are not recognized. Another word and you’re gone.”

“So, Mr. Chairman, I’d like to hear what the attorney has to say.”

“He is not recognized by the committee or the chair. If he speaks again, he will be removed from the room. This testimony is from Anthony Fauci. This is not a game with his lawyers. He can advise. His lawyers can give him advice. He’s got a half dozen here. They are all allowed to talk to him. All right? But the attorneys are not recognized. In fact, the attorney was told not to sit at the table, and he’s not obeying that recommendation. There’s a row behind you, sir. That’s where you were told to sit, and you’re not. Now you’re disrupting the proceedings.”

“So look, this is the way Anthony Fauci wants to be remembered. For a lawyer not listening to the rules. That’s the way you want to be remembered, and that’s what you’re going to do. You are not recognized, sir.”

The larger question is whether anything beyond “strongly worded letters and public theatrics” will come from the hearing. The pardon granted by former President Joe Biden reportedly extended back to 2014 and covered potential crimes that could be brought against Dr. Fauci.

This type of presidential pardon is unprecedented and has not yet been tested in court. Some constitutional scholars question whether such a broad pardon would withstand legal scrutiny.

There is also the issue of whether Fauci was entitled to invoke the Fifth Amendment if he had already been protected by a pardon. This could expose Fauci to a contempt of Congress allegation because the Fifth Amendment protects against self-incrimination when criminal prosecution is possible.

Fauci’s decision to invoke the Fifth Amendment could ultimately expose him to a contempt of Congress charge.

If Fauci’s pardon is legally valid, then the Fifth Amendment would no longer protect him from answering questions because there would be no risk of self-incrimination. That could mean Fauci is legally at risk for refusing to testify.

Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times and that is “a lot of contempt for Congress.” Fauci no longer appeared “boastful and arrogant,” but instead seemed to be shaking and looked apprehensive. Fauci’s six attorneys also appeared nervous throughout the testimony.

We will have to wait and see whether, as Senator Rand Paul suggested, the committee will move forward with a contempt of Congress vote the following week.

Such a vote under U.S. law could theoretically lead to a fine and up to one year in prison. This would be “the least” Fauci could face for his wrongdoing during the COVID pandemic response.

Read Fauci’s diary for yourself. Ignore the passages about celebrities, including Julia Roberts, and instead compare Fauci’s private writings with his public statements.

Those two versions are “wildly discordant” and cannot be reconciled into a reasonable understanding of what Fauci truly believed during the pandemic.

The video concluded by asking viewers whether they believed the hearing amounted to useful political oversight or merely political theater. The narrator questioned whether the proceedings could actually result in a contempt of Congress charge against Fauci, while predicting that Democratic members of Congress would oppose such a move. He argued that Democrats do not hold members of their own party accountable and asserted that this encourages further misconduct.

The response to the pandemic demonstrated a lack of respect for the rights of American citizens and that elected officials who supported those policies should be held accountable.

While the pandemic has faded in the national conversation, the courts are delivering wins for Americans who were harmed by the mandates.

The latest ruling is a major victory for COVID Justice. It hints of a reckoning for those who violated the rights of Americans during the pandemic.

This week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit handed down another significant victory for an employee who says she was wrongfully fired after seeking a religious exemption from her employer’s vaccine requirement.

The ruling is the latest in a growing series of decisions punishing employers for botching religious accommodation requests during the pandemic.

The case centers on Mimi Weiss, who spent more than 20 years working for Kaiser Permanente. Weiss wasn’t treating patients or working in a hospital. She worked remotely as a consultant. When Kaiser imposed its COVID vaccine mandate, she requested a religious exemption, identifying herself as a “Christian Jew” whose faith prevented her from receiving the vaccine.

Initially, Kaiser approved the request.

Then the company changed its mind.

According to court filings, Kaiser later subjected Weiss to additional questioning about her religious beliefs and medical history after deciding to scrutinize previously approved exemptions. When she declined to provide the additional information, the company revoked her exemption and fired her.

The Ninth Circuit unanimously revived Weiss’s Title VII religious discrimination claims, finding that she had adequately informed Kaiser of the conflict between her religious beliefs and the vaccine mandate.

“The employee must provide only enough information about her religious needs to permit the employer to understand the existence of an actual conflict,” Judge Danielle Forrest wrote for the court.

The court also warned against allowing employers to become arbiters of religious doctrine.

“Demanding more,” Forrest wrote, “would permit an employer to delve into the religious practices of an employee in order to determine whether religion mandates the employee’s adherence.”

In a separate 2-1 memorandum opinion, the court also revived Weiss’s California privacy claims, allowing that portion of her lawsuit to move forward as well.

The decision is notable on its own, but it is also part of a much larger trend.

Over the past two years, appellate courts across the country have increasingly sided with employees who say they were denied religious accommodations during the pandemic.

Late last year, the Fourth Circuit revived lawsuits brought by two remote Humane Society employees whose religious exemption requests had been denied before they were terminated. The court concluded they had plausibly alleged religious beliefs protected under Title VII.

Earlier this year, the Seventh Circuit reinstated claims brought by two former Aspirus Health employees, holding that a religious objection does not lose its legal protection simply because it is accompanied by concerns about vaccine safety or effectiveness.

Some plaintiffs have gone even further than surviving dismissal.

In Michigan, a federal jury awarded approximately $12.7 million to a Catholic IT employee after concluding Blue Cross Blue Shield unlawfully denied her religious accommodation request before firing her.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has also reached multiple multimillion-dollar settlements with employers over religious accommodation claims arising from COVID vaccine mandates, while ordering federal agencies to reconsider denials of religious exemptions.

To be sure, employers have not lost every case. Courts have upheld vaccine mandates for some frontline healthcare workers where employers demonstrated that accommodating unvaccinated employees would create significant operational or patient-safety burdens. But since the Supreme Court’s decision in Groff v. DeJoy raised the standard for proving an “undue hardship,” employers have faced a steeper climb when refusing religious accommodations.

Taken together, these cases suggest the courts are beginning to correct what many saw as one of the excesses of the pandemic: employers treating religious exemption requests with suspicion, demanding increasingly intrusive explanations, and, in some cases, terminating employees who had worked successfully for years without incident.

That should be welcomed.

Religious liberty occupies a special place in American law, and courts are right to remind employers that they cannot interrogate workers about theology before honoring protections Congress has already written into federal law.

Still, these victories leave one question worth considering.

During the pandemic, millions of Americans objected to vaccine mandates for reasons that had nothing to do with organized religion. Some cited personal ethics, bodily autonomy, or deeply held moral convictions. Those objections generally received far less legal protection than religious ones.

America’s courts have done an adequate job protecting religious freedom. The next frontier is making our laws protect freedom of conscience more broadly, instead of drawing such a sharp line between religious belief and other sincerely held convictions.

Democrats, activist groups, and sympathetic judges have spent months trying to stop him. Lawsuits have piled up. Injunctions have delayed enforcement. Every major immigration action has been challenged in court.

This week, the Trump administration struck back with another major legal victory.

That is the rallying cry of an entire generation that has been uprooted from American identity and led into the ideological wilderness of socialism.

It’s a dead end. We can only hope it’s not literally.

The radicalized Democratic Party has ceased pitching middle class Americans on how it can foster a better life for them and their children.

It starts with the education system.

As election analyst Nate Silver recently pointed out: “Income and education are usually positively correlated. But sometimes the relationship breaks down. What’s the most Democratic voting group in America? People with post-graduate degrees but lower-to-middle incomes.”

“In today’s newsletter, I argue this is the sweet spot for the DSA,” he adds. “DSA members are *very* college-educated (80% BA+) but *not* particularly well-off (45% HHI incomes below $60K). Their class status is ambiguous. But they tend to be very liberal on culture as well as economics.”

“The most left wing people in America are people with post graduate degrees who are financially strapped and the most right wing are people without 4 year college degrees who are rich,” added MSNOW host Chris Hayes.

And the DSA and socialism are truly on the rise. This is not a “right-wing fever dream.”

A recent Fox News poll shows that most Democrats look favorably on the DSA and socialism: 59% and 52%, respectively.

So, what do we make of this? It’s a reflection of an American education system that has armed people with a weaponized radical ideology instead of marketable job skills.

How bad is our “education” system? Setting aside the shopworn points about the skyrocketing costs versus the miserable outcomes, the “socialist science” fields do not even produce replicable science.

No, seriously. That is why this isn’t “science” but propaganda. It is “group think,” or science by “consensus,” to borrow a phrase from Thomas Kuhn.

The broken education system instead of preparing students for real life has indoctrinated them with a cynical version of a socialist ideology that had once appeared to be obsolete.

After all, the Berlin Wall came down. The Soviet Union collapsed. China undertook “reforms.”

Francis Fukuyama had even declared an “end to history” as liberal democracy had appeared to have triumphed over authoritarian socialism nearly four decades ago. Samuel Huntington trumpeted the ascendant “Third Wave of Democracy” that had come in its wake.

That was all a mirage. It increasingly looks like the communists had counted on this pleasant delusion. It was a smart bet.

How did the country get to a place where “socialists” like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Senator Bernie Sanders and even the now-exited Nazi-tattooed Senate candidate Graham Platner can capture the hearts and minds of the Democratic Party’s radical base?

How do we have socialist mayors across the country—from Los Angeles to Chicago to New York— taking over the epicenters of American capitalism, only to predictably lead them into the economic doldrums?

It’s because they didn’t call their ideology “socialism.” They didn’t call it “communism.” They did not label their ideology, except in opposition to everything America stands for.

The left changed its red banner to multi-colored ones; the rainbow flag of LGBTQIA, the black and raised-fist flag DEI, the green flag of the climate crisis.

They broke up communism into various parts that would ultimately hasten its ideological victory. And the nexus that holds it all together is cultural warfare that would culminate in “hegemony.”

That is Critical Theory: The left does not offer a viable alternative to “capitalism” that has a demonstrated record of success (quite the contrary: socialism begets poverty and misery and oppression and inequality and even mass murder).

The left does not substantively offer anything hopeful for the future, but rather a repudiation of “the system” along racial or ethnic or religious grounds. Everything that made America successful is either due to expropriation from the “oppressed” minority class and is a result of “white supremacy.”

This is the cultural stealth mode for a radical agenda that does not seek to build up the country, but rather to tear it down to its foundations in order to be rebuilt into the narcissists’ utopia of a globalist system dominated by an unelected class of elites.

Instead of “philosopher kings,” however, what we are seeing with this takeover are “grifter kings.”

The radical left has carved America up into corrupt fiefdoms, from Medicaid-fraud epicenter California to Somali fraud in Minnesota. It is all quite predictable and the reason we have federalism, separation of powers, and the rule of law.

Human nature shows that people take the path of least resistance and people are tempted to abuse power to their own personal benefit. This is tantamount to the “Iron Law of Oligarchy” discussed by the socialist intellectual Robert Michels.

Thus, we have a caste of intellectuals who are inculcated with “piecemeal socialism.”

America, we might be in trouble.

After Democratic Governor Mikie Sherrill took the stage to get ahead of explosive revelations that it not only registered 6,600 non-citizens but 400 of them actually voted, she proffered a few measly explanations: It happened under former Gov. Phil Murphy and it was due to a software “glitch.”

“Last week I learned that a serious software error in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle System led to the registration of roughly 6,600 people who indicated that they were not U.S. citizens between June 2023 and June 2024,” Sherrill said Tuesday. “These individuals answered ‘no’ when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers’ licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway.”

About that. New Jersey’s voter registration controversy took a dramatic turn Wednesday when the technology company blamed for the state’s registration fiasco shot down Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s explanation—and cast the blame on the state’s lax voter registration laws.

French technology company IDEMIA, which New Jersey blamed for the “software error,” insists its system accurately recorded applicants’ answers and that those answers were available to state officials.

“The 6,600 records submitted to the Motor Vehicle Commission and Division of Elections contained correct information according to the design specifications as set out by the state,” IDEMIA spokeswoman Lisa Shoemaker told the New York Post. “All 6,600 individuals indicated ‘Yes’ to wanting to register to vote and ‘NO’ to being a US Citizen.”

She added, “This information was recorded correctly and always available.”

The most consequential statement: “At no point was a noncitizen ever marked as a citizen in the database.”

If IDEMIA’s account is accurate, it raises obvious questions about what happened after the data left the company’s system.

“IDEMIA does not control or manage voter enrollment, our role is simply to collect self-reported citizenship and interest data,” Shoemaker explained.

She then posed the question: “This leads to more questions—if the Division of Elections had missing information which is required to register in the State of New Jersey, did the Division of Elections approve these individuals be added to the Voter Rolls.”

New Jersey officials immediately disputed IDEMIA’s account.

“No, that is not correct,” a state official told the Post. “Anytime somebody answers ‘no’ to the citizenship question, that record should not be transmitted to the Division of Elections.”

The irony is heightened by Sherrill’s bizarre dispute of President Trump’s call for election integrity, which was based on declassified intelligence—much of it from the Trump administration.

“Let me be clear, Donald Trump has zero credibility on election integrity,” she said.

It looks like Sherrill is the one with “zero credibility” on this issue, since her deflection of blame for the illegal voters onto a software company doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.

The conflicting explanations leave investigators with two very different possibilities. Either the Motor Vehicle Commission’s software improperly transmitted records that never should have reached election officials, or election officials received records identifying applicants as non-citizens and those individuals were nevertheless added to the voter rolls.

The controversy has quickly become a focal point in the national debate over election integrity.

President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans have pointed to the New Jersey case as evidence that stronger safeguards are needed to prevent non-citizens from being registered to vote.

Trump has repeatedly urged Congress to pass the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship before registering to vote in federal elections.

Sen. Mike Lee summarized that argument in a post on X.

“Software doesn’t register noncitizens to vote. People do.”

He continued, “The fact that this happened—with or without software playing a role—can neither be ignored by Congress nor dismissed as a simple, garden-variety computer glitch.”

“We need the SAVE America Act to stop this from happening.”

The Justice Department has also moved quickly, demanding records from New Jersey, including the identities of those who were improperly registered, while citing the incident in its ongoing lawsuit seeking access to the state’s voter registration records.

Sherrill concluded her spiel by pledging, “New Jerseyans should have confidence that every eligible citizen can vote, every lawful vote will be counted, and every reasonable step will be taken to protect the integrity of our elections.”

This misses the point. It is one thing to say that “every lawful vote” counts, but it is quite another to ensure that unlawful votes don’t count. It doesn’t take a math genius to figure out that this nullifies lawful votes and disenfranchises qualified voters.

The New Jersey Governor essentially told on herself by emphasizing the former rather than the latter. This is at the heart of the “fake controversy” over election integrity, which should not be a partisan matter.

Ask yourself: Why is it that every single Democrat is against voter IDs?

If this is the “Democratic” Party, why isn’t it heeding the will of the people and adopting election security measures supported by over 80% of the American public?

Why is it fighting the SAVE America Act—complete with voter IDs, paper ballots, and an end to mass mail-in voting?

Democratic leaders from Kamala Harris to Nancy Pelosi to Bernie Sanders to Adam Schiff used to openly support such measures.

Now, Democrats refuse to do anything to strengthen election integrity.

Democrats obviously think Third-World voting problems are “a bug and not a feature.”

The president announced Monday that he will deliver a “Speech to the Nation” Thursday at 9 p.m. Eastern, offering no additional details. But according to MS NOW, citing two White House officials familiar with the plans, the address will focus on newly declassified intelligence concerning alleged foreign efforts to interfere in the 2020 election.

The report says Trump is expected to be joined by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, suggesting the administration intends to present intelligence findings at the highest levels of the national security apparatus.

While the White House has not officially confirmed the substance of the speech, anticipation has been building for months as Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and other senior officials have repeatedly suggested that additional information related to the 2020 election would eventually become public.

Exactly what documents or intelligence will be released remains unclear.

Social media speculation has accelerated following Trump’s announcement, with some commentators suggesting the administration could reveal findings related to Fulton County, Georgia, or other aspects of the 2020 election.

As of now, however, the White House has not confirmed those reports or announced any specific investigative conclusions.

If the reports are accurate, Thursday’s address could mark the most significant public disclosure yet regarding the administration’s review of intelligence connected to the 2020 election.

Americans won’t have to wait long to find out. President Trump’s address is scheduled for Thursday at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Notably, the photo appears carefully staged to demonstrate that it is current. McConnell is pictured sitting up in a rehabilitation facility beside his wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, while holding this weekend’s sports edition of The Washington Post.

However, many are pointing out that the photo in his hand does not appear to have a newspaper that is written in legible English.

There are unverified claims that the newspaper in McConnell’s hand in the photo is rendered in languages ranging from Greek to Thai.

There is an interesting thread about potential health issues that are suggested by the released photo.

From my non-medical professional experience, the pattern fits that I’ve seen exhibited by those afflicted with Transient Ischemic Attack or “TIA.”

The issues with the photo include:

1. McConnell being propped up by a pillow
2. Elaine Chao seeming to help prop him up
3. Special chair that helps him sit up straight

There is also another very odd thing: No mention of the death of his colleague, Senator Lindsey Graham.

The image comes after nearly a month of rumors surrounding the former Senate Republican leader’s health, fueled by his prolonged hospitalization and the lack of detailed updates from his office.

In his statement, McConnell revealed for the first time that he was briefly unconscious after suffering a fall at his Washington home last month.

“My doctors have confirmed that I didn’t break any bones or suffer a concussion. I didn’t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don’t have any tumors or hemorrhages,” McConnell wrote. “But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital.”

He also disclosed that while recovering, he developed a mild case of pneumonia. This is all very suspect given the EMS reports about his hospitalization.

The EMS dispatch audio from June 14, 2026 (the day Mitch McConnell was hospitalized) explicitly references an unconscious person in cardiac arrest at his Washington, D.C. home address, with a medic stating “CPR in progress.”

McConnell acknowledged that many Kentuckians had been asking legitimate questions about his condition after weeks of silence.

“You all know how folks of my generation often hesitate to share the vulnerability that comes with growing older,” he wrote. “Even in the public eye, I feel that same instinct—I can’t help it.”

The 84-year-old senator also reflected on the lifelong health challenges he has faced since surviving childhood polio.

“Surviving childhood polio meant spending my entire life with mobility challenges. They haven’t exactly gotten easier to manage with age.”

According to McConnell, doctors have run extensive testing to determine what caused him to lose consciousness.

“I’ve submitted to every test they can think of to help figure out what caused this incident,” he wrote, adding that he has since been transferred from the hospital to a rehabilitation center as he continues regaining his strength.

Although he said he is improving, McConnell acknowledged he is still not ready to return to the Senate.

“On the advice of my doctors, I won’t be able to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet,” he said.

Still, McConnell insisted he remains actively involved in Senate business, saying he has continued working with his legislative staff, coordinating with his Kentucky offices on constituent services, and staying in contact with Republican colleagues on appropriations, defense issues, and the upcoming midterm elections.

“I still have unfinished business to complete on your behalf, and I have every intention of finishing the job you elected me to do,” he wrote.

The statement marks McConnell’s first public appearance since June 14, when emergency responders transported him from his Washington residence to a hospital.

His hospitalization became the subject of intense public speculation after dispatch audio referenced an unconscious patient and CPR in progress, while his office released only brief statements saying he was receiving excellent care.

Last week, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear publicly called on McConnell to provide more transparency about his condition, arguing that the lack of information was fueling unnecessary speculation among constituents.

Several Republican senators, including Majority Leader John Thune, also stated they had spoken with McConnell by phone in recent days and described him as alert and engaged, though few additional details about his condition were made public.

McConnell’s absence has also carried significant consequences on Capitol Hill.

As chairman of the Senate Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, he has played a central role in shaping Pentagon funding, defense appropriations, and negotiations over the administration’s supplemental national security requests. His absence also comes just weeks after the death of Sen. Lindsey Graham, leaving Senate Republicans without two of their most influential defense hawks during a critical stretch of budget negotiations.

McConnell announced earlier this year that he will retire when his current Senate term concludes in January 2027.

Judge Sparkle Sooknanan has refused to pause her ruling blocking the Trump administration’s expanded SAVE citizenship verification system, even after a federal judge in Florida ordered the Department of Homeland Security to restore the exact same system for four states.

The result is a remarkable standoff between two federal courts, with DHS now facing conflicting judicial orders over the same voter verification program.

Last month, Sooknanan ruled that DHS unlawfully expanded the SAVE database by allowing states to use Social Security numbers and bulk searches to verify citizenship for voter rolls and other government functions.

But because Florida, Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio had previously secured a court-approved settlement guaranteeing access to those tools, U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II ordered DHS to immediately restore the system.

Rather than pause her decision while the legal conflict is resolved, Sooknanan rejected the Trump administration’s request.

In her 23-page order, she accused the administration of engaging in “gamesmanship” by raising new legal arguments after judgment and insisted the Florida court “erred in significant ways.”

Sooknanan also argued that the Trump administration’s own actions created the conflict, writing that any harm DHS now faces is “self-inflicted” because officials entered into the Florida settlement while knowing this lawsuit was already pending.

Addressing the Florida ruling directly, Sooknanan wrote:

“The Northern District of Florida court... erred in significant ways.”

She further claimed the Florida judge had no authority to make an “implicit” determination that the SAVE program complied with federal law through approval of a settlement agreement.

For now, DHS remains caught between two conflicting federal court orders: one directing the agency to disable the expanded SAVE verification tools, and another requiring those same tools to be restored for four Republican-led states.

The legal showdown appears increasingly likely to end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Rep. Abe Hamadeh has introduced articles of impeachment against Judge Sooknanan, while Rep. Nancy Mace has proposed legislation requiring federal judges, members of Congress, and Senate-confirmed officials to be natural-born U.S. citizens.

The Court leaves Texas’ 2021 election security law fully in effect, which strengthens poll watcher protections, increases election transparency, and makes it illegal to pay individuals to collect and return absentee ballots on behalf of voters, also known as “ballot harvesting.”

The case began after a federal district judge blocked the ballot harvesting ban and prevented Texas from enforcing it. But in February, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed that decision, ruling the lower court had overstepped its authority and allowing the law to remain in force.

The Supreme Court’s decision not to hear the appeal effectively ends the challenge, marking the third time in the past six months that the Court has declined to overturn a Texas election law.

The legislation was a major priority for Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas Republicans following the 2020 election. It also sparked dramatic opposition from Texas House Democrats, who twice fled the state in an effort to block election integrity legislation from advancing.

With the Supreme Court declining to intervene, Texas’ ballot harvesting ban remains the law of the land.

According to reporting by The Wall Street Journal, Schwab recently sent letters to members of the WEF board demanding an advisory role that would allow him to help shape future leadership decisions.

He also reportedly requested access to Forum offices and communications, sought farewell visits for himself and his wife to overseas WEF locations, and threatened legal action as disputes with the organization continue.

“You have the opportunity to withdraw your note to the board in the next 24 hours with the specific regret to have put into question my reputation,” his email said. He offered some advice: “To facilitate such a move, you could refer to the fact that I will file a criminal complaint.”

Schwab resigned as executive chairman in April 2025 after whistleblower allegations triggered an internal investigation into his leadership. The claims included unauthorized spending, blurred lines between personal and organizational finances, bullying, and inappropriate conduct toward employees. Schwab has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

A preliminary investigation conducted in 2025 reportedly found evidence of unauthorized expenses and workplace misconduct, though the WEF board later concluded there was no material wrongdoing, citing only minor expense irregularities while acknowledging governance shortcomings and implementing internal reforms.

The Forum has since moved forward under new leadership, with governance changes intended to strengthen oversight following the controversy.

Adding another twist to the ongoing saga, Schwab has filed a criminal complaint with Swiss authorities after a security sweep of his home office reportedly uncovered a covert listening device. Authorities are investigating the incident, and no suspects or motive have been identified.

The developments come as Schwab, now 88, continues efforts to protect his legacy after more than five decades leading the World Economic Forum, the global organization best known for its annual Davos gathering of political leaders, corporate executives, and international elites.

Almost as soon as President Donald Trump’s renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool became the latest obsession of legacy media outlets and activist groups, the vandalism began.

Now federal officials say the damage is no longer just a political controversy. It’s a criminal investigation.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum announced that seven people have been arrested in connection with acts of vandalism targeting the newly renovated Reflecting Pool on the National Mall.

Speaking with Fox News, Burgum revealed that authorities have responded to 18 police reports and related incidents involving damage or attempted damage to the historic landmark.

“They’ll be prosecuted,” Burgum said of those arrested.

According to federal officials, one of the most serious incidents involved someone cutting through the pool’s protective liner with what investigators believe was a knife or razor blade.

A senior National Park Service official said the vandalism damaged the foam sealant beneath the liner, requiring repairs after the Independence Day celebrations.

To prevent additional incidents, fencing has now been erected around the Reflecting Pool.

Burgum explained that barriers were already scheduled to be installed ahead of the July 4 fireworks celebration, but officials accelerated the timeline after repeated acts of vandalism.

Following the holiday, the National Park Service plans to drain the pool and complete repairs.

Several preservation groups filed legal challenges attempting to stop the renovation, arguing the new appearance altered the historic character of the memorial.

At the same time, television networks devoted extensive coverage to the project, with critics focusing on the pool’s appearance while supporters argued the administration was simply restoring a neglected national landmark.

Supporters of the renovation have accused much of the media of obsessing over cosmetic changes while giving comparatively little attention to violent crime, illegal immigration, or other public safety issues affecting the nation’s capital.

The vandalism investigation has now added another chapter to the controversy.

Federal prosecutors are also pursuing charges against former Olympian David Hearn, who has been accused of causing significant damage to the Reflecting Pool.

During a recent press conference, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro defended the government’s case after reporters questioned the extent of the alleged damage.

“We can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he caused damage,” Pirro said.

“And that damage is over $1,000.”

When pressed by reporters about how prosecutors calculated the damage estimate, Pirro replied simply, “With an expert. Come to the trial.”

As reporters continued asking whether portions of the damage may have existed before the incident, Pirro repeatedly responded with the same answer.

“He damaged it,” said. “He damaged this pool.”

The criminal cases are expected to move forward in federal court while investigators continue examining the remaining incidents reported by the National Park Service.

Critics say the video wasn’t simply another holiday greeting. They argue it revealed something much larger: an admission that some elected officials are less interested in preserving America’s founding ideals than fundamentally transforming the country into something entirely different.

For many conservatives, that concern has been building for years. Omar’s remarks, they argue, simply said the quiet part out loud.
